Uibel

All roads lead to a goal, including detours. So before Leo Uibel set out to serve his idea of Veltliner & Co. to Ziersdorf and the surrounding area, he first strolled around the world. His fate was sealed when he decided not to set out again with his vacation money and instead to buy his first oak barrels.

Today Leo farms 7.5 hectares according to organic guidelines and considers the size of his winery to be ideal.
He knows the microclimatic peculiarities of each of his vineyards and the geological diversity of his vineyards and can therefore react precisely to neuralgic moments. Incidentally, the soils (permanently greened) and the underlying rock are amazingly differentiated, although they are all within a kilometer radius. Leo sees this inconsistency as a privilege and consequently makes six different types of Veltliner. There is also a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir, from which he also tries to extract the essence of the variety and the signature of the Weinviertel. Vegan friendly and without supplements, as well as minimal sulphites are top priorities.
