Our winery is located in the north-western Weinviertel and has been one of the region’s top quality companies for many years. As a family business in the 3rd generation, Herbert Studeny and his partner Gertrud Greilinger cultivate 16 hectares of vineyards on and around the climatic influenced Manhartsberg. Pioneering work included: Herbert was one of the first to make Sauvignon Blanc socially acceptable in a region dominated by the classic Grüner Veltliner. “This grape variety impresses with its special delicacy and finesse, especially on our primary rock weathered soils,” says Herbert Studeny.
We only process grapes from our own vineyards, so we can personally vouch for the origin and quality of the wines. Manual work, from leaf care to harvesting, is a must for the optimal harvest. And – we do not use herbicides or insecticides. We prefer to deal with the formation of humus and the activation of soil life naturally.
